I'm really looking forward to August. Our school is entering the Great Victorian Bike Ride. I wish I could go, but I wouldn't last... I saw the promo for the Ride and grinned when I saw a tandem. I wonder if anyone's allowed to enter on a unicycle?
Mood - Okay
Music - Nothing - my iPod's charging as I type.
I went on the Great Victorian Bike Ride in 1998 - that was the last time they did it until now! I'm so glad they've decided to do it again, because I really would have liked to have done it every year. Even if you think you won't last, you will - believe me. I doubted I would last and it's the best thing I've ever done in my life. There's such a great sense of achievement at the end, and you have such a ball training for it and riding in it. Seriously, give it some thought - at least do some of the training sessions and then think about it then. I would recommend it to anybody. If there's little kids doing it, I'm sure you'd make it (heck, I was 13 at the time). Sorry, I'm raving now... Which teacher is taking it? Last time it was Mr. Campbell, Miss Dickman and Mr Butterworth. We had a rule where we were only allowed to call them by their first name... best freaking time of my life.
PS) You wouldn't want to enter on a unicycle (I ride one - they are very hard to ride uphill) - though you see a few of them around for fun. You also see a number of trandems, tandems and those ones low to the ground (I can't remember their names). There's some very weird bikes out there.
