I was really annoyed-annoyed i tell you-to sit down last night only to find that due to the commonwank games opening ceremony on channel 9 that 7 had changed their programming as well-no Prison Break!!! .Not on-that's not on!!!.Flicked over to 9 at one stage just in time to hear the church singing under the milky way -so at least there was some saving grace-but even that was screwed up by having those daft motorbikes there.Who thinks up this stuff!!!!!.And the poor old queen-pity her because she has to sit there and look enthused even though she'd be sitting there thinking this is boring the pants off me .In passing,i wonder if she was wearing nice pastel yellow ones to match her outfit.
Mood - expressive
Music - riding to vanity fair-paul mccartney
You could see Prince Phillip being bored whenever there was a camera on him. It was rather amusing, actually. They both looked like they really didn't want to be there, and it was a grand waste of time - which it was really. I'm also peeved about the programming of other channels. I rarely watch television nowadays, and House is my weekly must-see... and it's a bloody repeat of the first episode (which I have seen on DVD lord knows how many times). Damn the Comm. Games!
Gee Dafty you are a lean, mean journalling machine , 3 journal entries in one hit - what a goer. I gotta say the Queen and Prince Phillip - they looked bored cos they are old. It was probably their nap time . Or prehaps the lack of horses in the opening ceremony is what did it to them. (I am sorry to say that I didn't watch the ceremony - very un Australian of me I know. ) Some chick was telling me today that the other stations decided not to spent the money trying to compete with the games coverage so they are running repeats and crap shows. Looks like we'll have to get out our Goodies DVD's - like we need any excuse.
Will have to get my 8 delicious episodes out of plastic, and last night finally got around to watching charlie and the chocolate factory-so maybe it's a good thing.(In passing-i'm not sure about johnny depp as willy wonka-i don't know who else could have done it....but i don't know about him-if that makes sense.Perhaps the goggly-eyed looking guy who was in the wedding singer? He's got weird covered.i dunno who.)
You know I reckon Chad Lowe could have done it. He is brother to Rob Lowe (West Wing) and has appeared in lots of television episodes like ER, Law & Order SVU, Medium, CSI Miami ect. as various characters. He has the innoccent creepy look down pat. I like Johnny Depp but he had a real Michael Jackson thing happening.
oh-that episode of law and order where his mother-played by margot kidder- made him her lover-oh that was off!And then he killed her, luverly.I'm going to keep thinking about willy wonka-it's just not how i pictured him as a child.i think someone tall and skinny-actually maybe roald dahl himself!(if he was a)still alive b)and not too decepit! .
Hey-what about hugh whatsisname from House? He would've done a good job of it in top hat and all.i just had to come back here to write that....problems! .(i know that mazzanda will be appalled that i had to write whatsisname -i loved him in pride and prejudice) .
Hugh Laurie - I loved him in Blackadder - very funny. He could probably do it although he may be getting on a bit now... Soem useless trivia about Hugh *real name James Hugh Calum Laurie - Birthday 11/6/59 - also worked with Stephen Fry on a show called "Fry and Laurie" (i think). Also Ronal Dahl may be a bit to decomposed to dig up for the role (sorry bad taste I know). How about the Australian dude who played the duke in "Moulin Rouge" Richard Roxburgh, he is very versatile. Hmm Prehaps we should stick to our day jobs and give up the dream of casting director
