Dobbin :
' Looking at the various lovely photos of the lads in Edinburgh, I feel that Graeme is looking ever so slim in them, compared to the photos I've seen posted of the two Australian tours. Does anyone else think that? Those of you lucky enough to see him 10 times in Edinburgh, was he looking slim? |
Well I didn't see him 10 times but I did see him after 3 shows and I did indeed think he had lost weight - he looked in great shape! Yes, ok I know I'm biased as he always looks good to me but I really did think he was slimmer and looking healthier for it.
I agree with Jess about Tim too, he looked like he'd lost weight since the Return of the Goodies thing.
All this cuddling must be doing them some good - long may it continue! Tim: "I sometimes wake up screaming: The Minx, The Minx!" |

Ooh, hello Dobbin, looks as though we posted at the same time!
I think you're right, Graeme does look slimmer these days. It was always quite difficult to tell because he'd be wearing jackets a lot, but on the final night he took his jacket off, and even though he was wearing quite a baggy (but beautiful) blue jumper, he still looked very slender. I think Tim's lost quite a bit of weight too, certainly since 'Return of the Goodies'.
I could very well be wrong, but that's the impression I got.

The hectic life of a touring comedy show must be taking its effects ....although cuddling excitable young groupie girls is probably have the same result Bill : I know when I'm licked cos it feels lovely ! |

Thanks for answering the glasses question, glad it wasn't me just being a loony. I'm glad he kept his glasses rather than switching to contacts, I do love those he had between series 2 and 5 - very nice indeed.
Just a mini-alert to UK fans. Next Friday (the 15th) on Jonathan Ross (BBC1 at 10.30pm) the music guest will be the Scissor Sisters. Not sure if that'll include JJ, but just thought I'd let you know.

' It would be rather cool if you could somehow arrange all your outfits so that they were one-piece suits. I suppose problems would arise if you wanted to do a bit of mix-and-matching. And didn't Graeme say in the DVD commentary that it was quite difficult to get on? But most of us don't get dressed in front of a live audience |
you don't? Surely I'm not the only one...

' So on the occasions when our lovely Graeme had lenseless glasses, was he wearing contact lenses? |
Probably. There's an old interview with him (it might be in "From Fringe to Flying Circus") in which he mentioned getting contact lenses around the middle of the Goodies run but that he had to keep wearing glasses for the show because it was part of the character. |

Glasses are a nuisance when it comes to lights and stuff like that. I know that I've got a vast number of photos of me where I look like I've got no eyes, because the light's reflecting off my lenses. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I also know that I wouldn't want to be wearing them if I was going to be doing potentially glasses-harming stunts. (cause I do stuff like that all the time) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
