I reckon anyone who doesn't needs an optometrist!
I do love that episode. Particularly Graeme's "But I like women's bodies!" ---------- "I cannot talk to a man who bears an undeserved animosity towards ferrets." -- Graham Chapman

Hello everyone. I was just watching 'Women's Lib' and thought that Graeme's holiday deal was very amusing...
Graeme at the 'beach':
Going in for the zoom...
Hello Graeme!
Awkward moment...
Okaaayyy...
And he kinda flares his nostrils right at the end, did you notice? I like it when he does that...

I'm too young to remember Graham Kerr's original fame but I remember his comeback at the start of the 1990's on British TV, last I heard he had given up all the high fat food due to health reasons and does low fat stuff now, dashing around the kitchen wasn't enough for a healthy heart!

Wow - Thanks Lisa - now that would explain it - see you learn so much interesting stuff on this web site
Edna - I think Bernard King got sick or something and there were rumours about him having AIDS but I think his style of sarcasism was not very vogue at the time of his resurfacing and his show got axed - but what would I know - I like Iian Hewittson's cook show

Tell ya what Bondy, it's a pretty good likeness anyway!! The impersonation just needed to be a bit more sarcastic and to slam someones dance routine and it would have been perfect! I think I vaguely remember the galloping gourmet, probably through parodies!

it's a parody of "The Galloping Gourmet" starring Graham Kerr, which was a very popular television cooking show of the time. I was too young to watch it but had certanly heard of it as it was shown in the US as well.

' Heeey, I was gonna use that still! Funny, I took a screencap of that exact same scene... Great minds think alike! So who was Graeme meant to be impersontaing? Was he Australian?
I always thought it was a send up of Bernard King - an Australian chef who was extremely camp and had his own cookery show on tv around that time - but I can't see why they would use some so obscure for a BBC show cos I didn't think old Bernard was that well known overseas What would I know I was always completely distracted by how fit Tim looked in that epsiode especially in his slouch hat *drool* Bill : I know when I'm licked cos it feels lovely !
