I always thought the best looking "Python" was Michael Palin.....

Of course, you all know who my favourite "Goody" is!

I must admit that when I first got into Monty Python a few years back, I thought Graham Chapman was gorgeous.  I let it slip to my then best mate and she couldn't stop laughing at me.  Hmph.  Then she told me he was gay!  Double hmph!!!

I then quickly discovered the charm, wit and general amazingness of Terry Jones dressed as a flasher with a BOO! sign round his neck and so I wasn't heartbroken for too long.  How much did he look like Uncle Ernie in that sketch!??!!  It was highly exciting!!

Before I get too off-topic, I'd just like to mention one of my new favourite Dr G quotes:

"Last year we went on a bouncing tour of Scotland!!!"

Ahem.

McHoots!!

Double ahem.

hey clair,i must say that i think graham chapman was way more attractive than graeme garden-but i guess the problem is that graham possibility found graeme attractive as well.i try and contain true crushes to heterosexual men,and pseudo crushes to the homosexual ones (e.g marc almond).

urban_spacegirl :

' I just remembered!  How could I have forgotten?  The bit in Earthanasia when Tim and Graeme are thinking about their sins...the expressions on his face and noises he makes are just splendid.

I blush every time I watch that!!!!!!!!

"*filthily dirty chuckle*  Ha-ha-ha-HO YES!!!  Ahaaaa....*sigh*"

Disgusting.  I love it!!!!!!!

Hello people!!  I'm back!!!!  Had loads of work to catch up on and stuff but am okay now.

I got The Secret Policeman's Early Bits on DVD after the high recommendation from urban_spacegirl.  Still haven't watched it the whole way through but watched The Funky Gibbon.  Urban_spacegirl, young lady, you're right - could those jeans GET any tighter?!  How did he breathe!?!?  Did he ever manage to sit down?!?!!?

Dear god I haven't laughed so much in YEARS!!!!!!  HOW embarrassed did Graeme look?!  He was like "I DO have a degree, I am NOT an imbecile, I'm a perfectly normal human being who just happens to be dancing The Funky Gibbon...  Maybe if I just do the actions really quickly and look as though I'd rather be somewhere else nobody'll notice I'm here..."

And Bill was like the brillo version of Pinocchio.  This dialogue just ran through my head almost immediately:

GEPETTO:  Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight.  I wish that my Brillo pad, William, was a real rock star...
FAIRY:  Well, Gepetto, because you're such a good person, I will make your wish come true.
BILL:  [in Pinocchio off Shrek voice]  Look, Papa, I AM A REAL ROCK STAR!!!

I nearly had a seizure laughing.  And Tim's hip thrust traumatised me.  Although it has to be said his "Whoop whoop whoooh!" at the end did in fact make the whole performance!!!

Right, I'm shutting up now!!

Graham's autobiography is one of the funniest books I've ever read.  He tells a great story about the time he and our Tim went to a massage parlour in Hong Kong.  Brilliant

... you have a lot to learn little one.
As a short brief: Graham Chapman went to Cambridge Uni, and was part of the Footlights (of which Bill, Tim and Graeme were all part of at some stage). He went on to do I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again with the Cambridge Circus crew, then on to At Last The 1948 Show with Tim, John Cleese and Marty Feldman. After that (I have left gaps obviously) he went on to become a member of Monty Python.

Well worth the look if you can.

You don't know who Graham Chapman is? Go out and watch the Life of Brian immediately.

No he's not gorgeous like our Graeme, but he is very very funny.

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Right up there with Graham Chapman in his ballgown of "shocking pink corrugated iron with matching headband and rugby shorts - which unfortunately we can't see."

Ta mate, now I have Graeme Chapman as Salome (?) the Schoolgirl from 1948 Show lodged behind my retinas.  And Marty in that wig.  Oh god...

Sorry to double post, but also love how in that sketch the name labels don't change.
Samatha reference was completely off-topic, but is it not more enjoyable to have a cockney cop playing a sheila in your head?
