He's our brave handsome hero!
I'm just using the listen again service on BBC 7 to hear Monday's old episode of Clue & I highly recommend anyone who loves Graeme's voice (& lets face it - who doesn't!) to listen to the Mornington Crescent bit - they are playing with Bath street names by the sounds of things and G says something which you wouldn't normally think would be appealing - "Totteridge & Whetstone", but the way he says it is so knee-tremblingly sexy!
Or maybe I'm just odd... Tim: "I sometimes wake up screaming: The Minx, The Minx!" |

I want to comment on - as well as cute and sexy, of course - how tremendously professional and committed our G is. I mean , who else would have managed to record ISIHAC in Dec 2002 in front of a huge audience, while suffering from Bells Palsy? and who else would have gone on the first Australian tour while waiting for a hip replacement, and fiding it a bit hard to stand for long periods on stage etc? And who else would have done an ISIHAC recording in June 2005, just very shortly after having had his hip replacement?
Hurray for Graeme! |

' On the Kitten Kong commentary where the lads are climbing up the cliff ("That's Portland, Bill." Why do I get the feeling this is an old, old in-joke betwen the three?) Tim says 'that's a great place to look for fossils', to which Grae replies 'yes, there's three now'. |
I imagine the joke about Portland Bill was pretty well worn out by the time they finished filming there. Bill was probably damn sick of it. I like the self-deprecating comment about fossils - it always makes me laugh.

Heehee, I'm glad you all agree, I didn't know if it was me going mad or not!
Graeme does make a great rebel. He's great as the naughty one in War Babies, his look of disapproval while he's standing in the playground is hilarious:

And, for fun, here he is as the rebel in 2001 And A Bit:

I've been listening to a lot of the Goodies commentaries lately and it's funny how much Graeme can get away with being quite mean to Bill. All in jest, of course, but it's still a little harsh! In Kitten Kong, for example, Bill says that his waistcoat looks silly and Graeme replies, "Well, on a normal person...!" which, luckily, made Bill laugh. Again, in Beanstalk when Bill wants to admire his slim look, Graeme says, "Dream on!" It's the voice, he can say anything and get away with it!

' I think they J and G look amazingly similar. Especially in that promo shot of the Scissor Sisters where they have the wristbands. |
There's no doubt they look very similar.
The wristband website (www.whateverittakes.org) used to have the wrong picture up for JJ (it was a picture of Paddy Boom) but I emailed them explaining which one he was in their group shot so they changed it! Tim: "I sometimes wake up screaming: The Minx, The Minx!" |
