I haven't really got much to say today but thought I'd just post a brief entry. The weekend was stinking hot! We managed to get a bit of packing done but not as much as we would have liked. We locked ourselves out of the house on Sunday which is just what you want in 42 degree heat! Went to Jess's Mad hatter party on Saturday night which was fun. It was stinking hot too though! Yesterday after work I picked up the keys to our new house!!! We went round there to check it out and took a few boxes of stuff in. Everything looks OK which is good. Everyone keeps telling me how excited we must be, but to be honest we are both feeling kind of numb at the moment. I mean, I'm happy about it, but I don't think I'll be REALLY happy about it until we are actually moved in and settled.
Mood - Kind of zoned out
Music - Soundtrack to "Shaun of the Dead"
I'm sorry to hear that you got locked out of your house! I hate it when that happens, whenever I go bike riding with my mum and dad, while they walk, I always ride back home really fast, because it's all down hill on the way back. So I got home at night the other day, and I found out that my brother wasn't home to let me in the house, 'cause he'd gone off on one of his walks, so I was left there, screaming and yelling for someone to open the door for me, even though there was no-one there. I think I felt like I was about to cry aswell! Hmm, I think I should stop rambling on 'bout that, haha... Hope you feel differently about moving in to your new house soon, I mean, it must be very exciting, I've never moved house before!
I locked myself out quite a few times when I still lived at home with mum. The most annoying thing in those days was that the cat would still be inside and I'd be stuck outside!! If only that cat had opposable thumbs! hehehehehe
This is about the third time Trent and I have locked ourselves out of the house. After the last time we have been really fussy about always checking with each other that one of us has keys before we shut the front door. Even to the point that we don't trust each other untill we actually SEE the keys. But I guess it was so hot on Sunday that it all just slipped our minds!
The day I did my driving test I got dropped home by the driving instructor, and when I reached the door I realised I didn't have my keys, wallet or my mobile with me. I ended up walking to my Dad's office and getting a lift home
