My Mind is Going, I can Feel It....
zaphod
I firmly believe that my brain has leaked out of my ears, and dribbled down my shoulders, making a complete mess of my shirt.

I've just been listening to Rolf Harris doing a Reggae version of Wild Thing.

I went on a wild rampage of finding every version of Wild Thing I could get my hands on, and it was rather surprising how many there were,

The Goodies
The Animals
Jjimi Hendrix
Jjoan Jett
The Kinks
Kermit the Frog & Animal
Sam Kinison
Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty
Suzi Quatro
T-Rex
The Troggs
ZZ Top

And there's probably more.  Of course, the definitive version is naturally, The Goodies, who could resist TBT showing off his sock suspenders

Mood - Alarmed
Music - Wild thing (multiple versions)
Edited - Never

Hehehehe  Do you remember that album which was all different versions of Stairway to Heaven? It was from Andrew Denton's show "The money or the gun" on ABC waaay back in the day.  I can't remember many of the versions except that Rolf Harris did one with his wobble board (naturally) and there was a version with the Doug Anthony Allstars and Barry Crocker singing together.

I managed to find a song, not sure who it's by (but obviously a very bad Aussie comedian) called Why Won't Rolf Harris Just F*** Off and Die. To put it simply, I prefer Rolf Harris (and that's saying something)!

Ahh DAAS doing Stairway to Heaven..."If there's a bustle in your hedgerow... if I could have a moment, that of course comes from the latin 'a stoola in your fence', first used in Shakespeare's wonderful play The Taming of the Shrew, where his wonderful character Puck said to the lovely Lady Hamlet, 'may I put my bustle in your hedgerow'"... classic.

you know, until recently i always thought that Wild Thing was a goodies song.  I never realised that it was sung by anyone else let alone so many other people.  Although to my mind it will always belong to the Goodies and i will alway wish that  i was the chick in the audience that he approaches (please let me dream ). TBT 4ever xxxx
