Well, I went and did it. After a week or two of deliberating and trying to talk myself out of it I have gone and bought myself a PS2. I got the console in a bundle with the new "Buzz!" game. So I got the new silver slimline PS2 console with a controller, I got the Buzz! game and the 4 buzzer paddle things for that. I also bought "Singstar 80s" which came with two microphones. And I also bought "Taito Legends" which has cool old games like Bubble Bobble on it. The whole lot only cost me $370 which I think is really good. (even though I can't really afford it anyway - hehehe)
They had a big late-night pre-Christmas sale thing on at Chadstone Shopping Centre last night. I met Mum there. They were giving away free champagne. Mum bought some clothes for herself and some books for Trent & I for Christmas. I bought a big bag of Chai tea and the PS2 stuff. We had dinner at the Pancake Parlour which mum seems to love lately for some weird reason.
Work has been average this week. Nothing much of note happening really. Catherine and Leesa (the girls whose uncle died last week) were suddenly called downstairs when their mum (who also works at our organisation) had to be taken away in an ambulance! Aparently their mum is OK now, but man are they having a bad few weeks! Poor girls!
Oh and our home puter is back up and running and perfectly happy. Hooray!
I was at Chadstone that night too :-P Did it with Mum as well. She had the brilliant idea of getting there at 5pm, so there was actually a park. I was annoyed coz JB HiFi had sold out of Ripping Yarns DVDs, and I was so not going to pay ABC Shop prices. I had gone there two days previously thinking I would get one that night because there was at least 30 DVDs... obviously not. I should have read your journal earlier - I would have given you my PS2. Technically it's my brothers but it didn't work for him for a period so he bought a new one, and I put dibs on the old one. It seems to work for me though. Personally, I'm a Super Nintendo girl. Gimme Mario and Donkey Kong any day! Good to hear your computer is up and running again though. I used to have a bad internet habit many years ago, but now for work I have a reason to be constantly connected. Atleast that's what I tell myself
How funny that you were at Chaddy too Mazzanda! Actually quite a few people I know were there but I didn't see any of them. There were just soooo many people! I went straight from work so I got there around 5:30-6ish and managed to get a park thankfully! Yeah I saw all those copies of Ripping Yarns the other day too. It's kind of cool that they all sold so quickly but I wish they'd at least kept one copy for you! Oh yeah, gotta love super Nintendo. I always love the retro games. Can't play any of this new-fangled stuff. 3D games make me dizzy. hahahahahaha
