Just realised that it must be a full moon or very close on it-betcha anything that my last journal entries were at this time as well .Title=that brilliant album by tom petty. But this "journal entries at the time of the full moon" concept could have been taught in the class"how to be disturbing without really trying 101" .
Ha ha AC-i'm so happy that someone went and checked out steve all covered in mud.Yes,it IS very odd.It wasn't what i expected to see when i checked out his site at the time, that's for sure. And did you like him as gilligan too haha .
Yes very nice Gilligan. hehehe. I have to admit I just can't listen to that "You were meant for me" song. I'm not really a fan of ballads at the best of times. But the problem with that one is that it is just toooo realistic. I think it has captured the mood really well, to that point that listening to it makes me feel sad and depressed (even though my bf and I are still happily together!!) I guess that means it's a very well written song - but not so good for them if I can't even listen to it!!
i like steve himself singing that song on his live at the basement show, but can't handle jewel.I always have this silly thought when people co-write songs-like give me more information-who wrote which bit?e.g even with the beatles-there are obviously ones that they wrote separately, but with the other songs-who wrote which bits??-will have to be content never to know these music mysteries.Who gives a toss anyway .
Never heard Steve singing the song himself. Maybe I'd like it better. I'm not big on Jewel really. One of those artists that people say is a "Genius" but I just don't 'get'. (like Powderfinger or ColdPlay)
I actually have a book called "A Hard Day's Write" which has the background and meaning behind each of the Beatles songs - gives a pretty good idea of who wrote what and how and why.
