what is that brickwall thing doing in the previous entry?I can't be bothered to edit it out-i'm guessing that what i actually typed-which was a colon followed by the letter o -must have been the symbol for it.Janice ,you might know if i'm guessing the right thing. This was a cheat journal entry!
Mood - curious
Music - i'll find my way home-jon & vangelis
I wrote a lovely, long comment to your last journal and had something go wrong from my end that messed it up before I could post it. I tried to save it, but it didn't work. I'll get to it and write it again later.
Yes,it really is lovely isn't it?I always listen to this type of music-the daggy song i'm listening to at the moment is.....wait for it....how deep is your love by the bee gees.It sounds so good to me at the moment. Some stuff simply gets better with age-or is it that current sounds don't measure up -which makes the old stuff sound better?Well I'll never know.
daftbird has hit the nail on the head: music today just doesn't measure up to the old stuff. It's lacking severely, though my sister disagrees. Bring on the Big O, Jim Croce, Credence Clearwater Revival and Pink Floyd!
Yes,that's no suprise that you would into that one in particular,Janice!Thinking about pink floyd-i really like "wish you were here" and "comfortably numb"-the latter no doubt being about heroin-which I'm not into!Believe it or not it is only THIS YEAR that i twigged that "golden brown" by the stranglers was about that same subject-i'd never thought about it before and then the penny dropped-and it only took 23 years to do so!!!-and even their song "skin deep"which i also love.Even though making that comment down below i will speak up in defence of some of todays music-in particular ben lee,who i can't stop listening to at the moment.Lovely .
Yes, I stand corrected by datfbird once again, Ben Lee is pretty good. So are Maroon 5. Lance listens to that a lot, I quite like them. He's insisting I mention Primus too; they have some pretty good stuff.
Aha-junius!So LANCE is the name of your true love-short for lancelot, perhaps? .Just for fun-if you could only choose one ccr song which would it be?For me it would be "green river",but then as soon as i write that i think of their other good ones...
First one that popped into my head was "Do do do lookin' out my back door!". I've gotta get onto a new journal entry, (I've actually met D-Day, so I guess you wanna hear about it!), but it's late and I'm tired, so I'll do it later! (That'll just make you look forward to my next installment! Hehe;D
Yes, his name is Lance - would have mentioned it sooner, but wanted to make sure he didn't mind being identified, especially as my boyfriend, haha. I made the same Lancelot joke myself... he's my knight, at any rate!
If I had to choose one CCR song it would probably be... Fortunate Son. But it really depends on what mood I'm in. 'Proud Mary' was their first song I learned the words to (at 6!) and I like their version of 'Put A Spell On You' and they do jsutice to Roy Orbison's 'Ooby-Dooby'...
Uh-oh, you've got me started now! Isn't it strange that you're shortest journal entry has generated the most comments?
