We went to Morcambe on Sunday. It was a lovely day lots of people as it was a heritage gala day. There were vintage vehicles and most of the people who owned then had dressed in the period of the car/fire engine/army truck they were with. It looked very nice. We had lunch on the sea front although to tide goes so far out there it was all mud and no sea. Then walked out along the restored pier and waited..Dead on time the Red Arrows appeared. It was a great display and how ever many times I see them I still wince when they do their "head on" fly pass and only nearly miss. We then walked along the beach had an ice cream and the Battle of Britain memorial flight arrived the 2 smaller planes do some very low runs and buzzed the pier. The Lancaster came over several times. They seem so big and slow I wonder how any of them ever got home again All in all a nice day and a easy drive home. D
