I was on my way into work this morning (yes I know it's Saturday) and spotted a big sign on the side of the road "Garage Sale" and I'm a sucker for these things, so I check it out. Turns out it's a fairly largish one, being run by the Rotary club, and to my delight has a rather large stack of books. After spending 10 minutes or so rummaging around in the rather daunting pile, I come accross an intereting title. The Action Hero's Handbook. The title may not grab you, but how about some of the sections containe therein? Subtitles like: How to catch a Great White Shark. Perform the Vulcan Nerve Pinch. Track a Fugitive. How to evade a MiG and so on and so forth.
The only downside is, printed at the top of the front cover is the line From the Bestselling author of "The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook". Now I have another book to hunt for in vain for many years ....
In case anyone else is looking, the authors are David Borgenicht and Joe Borgenicht
I actually own "The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook". It's pretty awesome. Full of interesting ways to survive if you happened to be, say, lost in the desert with a dead camel and stuff like that. It's a really good read, but it did make me really paranoid that there was a whole bunch of stuff that could go wrong in life that I'd never even thought of!
