Well this morning i thought i would shop online and look for the early eighties TV series Day of the Triffids. I prefer this version to the sixties movie . Anyway you can buy it so i might just have to check the ABC Shop first . If not buy it online .
The book is really good too - bought it years ago. Just pulled it off the bookshelf - author John Wyndham, my edition published by Penguin. Interesting to see it was first copyrighted in 1951. Also interesting to see author's full name was John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Benyon Harris.
I went looking for it myself a year or 2 back and had no luck at all. On the other hand, a friend of mine had VHS copies that he'd made a few years back from UK Gold. Not fantastic quality recordings, but very watchable, and far superior to the 50s movie.
