Well, where do I start?
This weekend has been the best ever, bar none. I kid you not. I had only planned to go for one night but ended up staying with Kirstyn, Spev and Peej for the full four nights. I certainly don't regret it.
The first night was brilliant, we got front row centre and Tim and Graeme were truly on form. They performed Wild Thing at the end, which is the only night they did it and probably will do it in Edinburgh, so that was very special. There was lots of excitement and screaming on our part, Tim was straddling that microphone stand like nobody's business, and Graeme did unspeakable things to that toy guitar of his. At the very end, Spev threw some "I'm a Goody" knickers onto the stage which made Graeme and Tim laugh hysterically. Tim held them up and spun them round his finger as he walked off stage.
We then met them afterwards and Tim was beaming, saying how fantastic we were and that Tim couldn't look at our t-shirts with the quotes because he'd giggle. Mine was "Timbo's Cheeky Little Jumbuck", Peej's was "Timbo's Glee Groupie", Spev's was "Grae's Saucy Gibbon" and Kirstyn's was "Grae's Wee Tatty Bogle". We got things signed and lots of Tim hugs, in which I approached him in an arms outstretched fashion, so outstretched I pulled a muscle, which made him giggle rather a lot. When it came to signing things Tim said, "I remember you all from Halifax", which made us feel over the moon. And that was the first night over.
The second night was just as fun with an even better meeting after the show. Tim emerged from the top of the stairs and as soon as he saw us he rummaged through his bag and pulled out Spev's Goodies underpants, which he then put on his head and had the cheekiest look on his face that you've ever seen. It was hilarious beyond words, and it was just for us, even though he did do it in front of loads of people walking into the next show, bless him. Once again, Tim hugs were on the cards. It was actually the best Tim hug ever, we seemed closer than ever and there was plenty of "awww" and "heeheehees" from myself and Tim, and Tim gave me lots of vigorous back rubbing, which was most enjoyable. Ahhhhhhhh.
Graeme was on fine form, he signed my Goodies programme and said, "It's Jess isn't it?" which made me very happy indeed. we got Graeme hugs too! He gives lovely hugs and was happy to dish them out. We were able to have a lovely conversation with him and he was chatty and generally adorable. I then got super brave and asked for a photo, and to my surprise both of them got me from either side. I wanted to put my arms round them but I was too squashed in between them! Here's the pic:

Look at that look on Graeme's face. Sigh.
The third night was incredible. Before the show I went to the shop to get some sweets and I saw Tim walking the other way down the pavement. We were the only two around and turned to each other and went, "Ooh, hello!" and waved in exactly the same way. It was quite unnerving how we did the same thing, but brilliant. Certainly made my day. It was the press night (as Tim told us the night before) and Tim, bless him, seemed very scared, but Graeme was in his element and flirting from the stage like mad. The amount of saucy looks cast our way became too much to count after a while. And Graeme should not be allowed to brandish kazoos at young lasses with eyebrows raised and a "you like that don't you" look on his face. I also got a saucy look when I laughed at Graeme saying "The young maiden's licked off his coating of porridge". It shouldn't be allowed!
We met them and they were lovely, again, and Graeme happily chatted to us and signed mine and Kirstyn's t-shirts, much to our delight.
The final night was the best. We went dressed as The Goodies! Spev was Graeme, Peej was Tim, Kirstyn was Bill and I was 'Black Pudding Bertha' (being a Yorkshire lass). It was brilliant. As soon as Tim and Graeme came on stage they caught sight of us and immediately got the giggles. They were corpsing or smiling the whole night, nothing less. Tim laughed out loud at our clapping Graeme's Scoutragous shorts and Graeme loved us all the more for complimenting him in such a way! There was more eye contact than ever on that night, it was great. Also, a lot of the rude lines were reserved just for us, they know what makes us naughty GROKers tick.
We met them after the show again (as you do) and Kate asked, for the third time, about the healing hands, so Tim went round the back of her and placed the hands on the chest area. I think most of us turned away and Graeme and the director (with his amazing yellow-framed glasses) didn't seem to know what to make of it either. Then we got a photo of just the four of us Goodies with the real Goodies, it's a great photo. I was the insanely lucky one that got to be between Tim and Graeme and we were all so intwined that getting out of the photo pose was quite tricky. Tim had to bend over to free himself to which I went in a cringe-worty Yorkshire mum way, "Are you alright?" which, thankfully, rather than offend him greatly, made him laugh a lot. Tim then had a little chat with us, as he does, telling us about the show and whatnot, and we got the round of hugs.
First off was hugs from Graeme, who gave each of us a kiss on the cheek as he did so. Heaven! Graeme also chatted to us because he knew it was our last night and asked if we were coming back. He seemed pleased that we were. Then we got the Tim cuddles, which were great, again. After I thanked Tim he said, "It would be wrong if we didn't" and I told him how true that was, which made him giggle. And that was the end of it.
I hope you survived all of that. I probably forgot loads, but it was brilliant.
Sorry for all the typos that there'll be and my being generally giddy. Hope it doesn't sound like I'm being a pain. I did my best not to spoil the show for anyone going later in the month, all I can say is you're in for a treat!
All the best! Jess. --------------
