It is quite noticeable how much shorter Tim is than Graham and John. There's a great shot in this where the camera pans across Graham and John's faces, then carries on to where Tim is, but has to drop down quite a bit to find him! -- I'm back, and it's about time! |

It's the Secret Policeman's Other Ball, the second one on disc 2 of the boxed set. As Jess said, Tim's only in those three bits, but it's worth watching just for the Card Dance - so simple and yet so funny. I did think about doing screencaps of that too, but I couldn't capture the humour! -- I'm back, and it's about time! |

Found this on culttv.com (I think that's what it's called):

It was an award in 2001 for Cult TV |

It's from the 1981 show, I believe it's on disc 2 of the boxset I have, or maybe disc 3 - I forget. It's just Tim of the Goodies clan though and, aside from the intro, Top of the Form and Card Dance sketches, I don't think Tim appears elsewhere.
I thought I had some pics of the Card Dance sketch but I can't seem to find them. I may have to go on a screencapping mission. Watch this space.

Oi!
Which Secret Policeman's DVD is that from?
Don't have that one. All I can offer is the Funky Gibbon and Sylvester McCoy in his undies. |

Thanks for the pics, it's a great sketch. The Secret Policeman's Ball shows are great, and I agree that the Card Dance is brilliant. I won't be able to stop going "Cha Cha Cha" for ages now!
The chap in the middle is John Bird, an ex-Footlighter who was (I believe) in That Was The Week That Was and does quite a lot of satirical stuff. He's also in Absolute Power (in which Tim made a cameo) as Stephen Fry's business partner. His comedy partner, John Fortune, is the chap in the middle on the other team in the Secret Policeman's Ball version of Top of the Form. Jolly intersting stuff, I think you'll agree!
EDIT: Er, yeah, what Sosia said. Trust my ramblings to take forever to get to the point!
