I was asked the other day who my favourite Goody was. I said I could never choose favourites but we all agreed that Graeme is a total genius!
I was a bit astonished to find that I hadn't started the discussion. Only about 10% of people in the room knew what we were on about, but it goes to show that they are being talked about! |
Sounds like you were sitting with the intelligent 10%! Was the question a conversation starter, in which case assuming everybody has a favorite Goody? Let's face it, who doesn't?! (Hello Graeme!  ) |
Intelligent, yes, except for one person who reckons the Young Ones were better... I absolutely love the Young Ones, but I think he's got his brain in backwards.
I think we somehow started the converstaion like this...
1: "...blahblahsomethingsomething...bananas."
2: "I used to love Bananaman."
Me: "I LOVED BANANAMAN!"
2: "I knew you would, it's the Goodies!"
And so on...
Actually, I can only remember little bits and pieces of Bananaman from when I was very small - I think it was after Captain Planet and before Bangers and Mash. Most vivdly I recall a scene with a girl strapped to a conveyor belt inching towards a big spiky blade - if only Eric could get to that banana, he could burst through his restraints and save her before it's too late! I was torn with the suspense!
And I seem to remember his wonderful voice...

Two ways to see them in all their glory:
1. Right click on the image, and choose 'save image' to copy it onto your hard drive. Then, if you open it in ImageViewer or Paint or whatever, you'll be able to see the whole thing.
2. Right click on image and choose 'properties'. When the properties box opens, copy the URL into your address box - that's the address of the original image in my PhotoBucket album. |
