Past tense?! Speaking personally, I know for a fact I only used present tense! I read back over all my perversions!!!
"Spunk rat"??? oh lord - there's something wholly not right about that whole phrase...
I love the way these things get lost in translation - I remember when we had a girl from South Africa come to live with us for a while, and we went to school together. One of the girls in my class asked her which of the boys she thought was fit (which is a term - very rarely used by me, may I add - for a good looking bloke) - and Kate looked at her, really confused and she said "Do they all work out then???"
Bless.
ANYWAY - Another great moment from Radio Goodies is when the Saucy Gibbon springs a leak and Graeme points to the gushing water and says "I'm sinking!!" I can't even swim and I'm all for going and rescuing him!
AND!!!!!! AND AND AND!!!!!!!! In Punky Business when Jane Asher says she'd like some sauce and he looks at her and gives this really lovely "I don't quite know what to do now" smile... bless 'im...
And I must say I was more chuffed than the chuff of a chuff's chuff upon noticing that on the odd occasion any of the Goodies pull, Graeme either ends up with a tall brunette or with a rather voluptuous type lady. I find it most reassuring, being a tall, brunette fat bint myself...!!! ____________________________________ GRAEME: Will you be coming back tomorrow? SPEV: We might think about it...! Past tense? No...
His voice! Still as magnificent as ever! And the cute smile's still there too.
Admittedly the hair's not quite so prevalent, but he's still got a certain something. --- Have I ever failed you? |

Oh, I don't know, there are worse things that could be said. (But not about Graeme of course!!) I'm sure it's doing his ego a world of good! Besides, it's all true, he is a great big spunk rat and he can leave his corduroy on the end of my bed anyday!! Or his caveman suit, or even his Natzi type uniform....that works for me!!
Graeme....are you out there? Or have you run away screaming?? |

lol I'm a Tim fancier myself but I have recently been introduced to a different view of Graeme Garden... and Tim for that matter.
I blame Not_A_Megalomaniac personally.
Mind you- she has a point; nice fingers! ******** "... that's what the traffic warden said!" Tim Brooke - Taylor |

Dobbin :
' I am very much enjoying all this discussion about G's pert bum, and how very exciting it is to see him in tight trousers.
Also I get all tingly when he adjusts his glasses! (Like in the Movies, when comes in with his guns, and some debris falls on head), or when removes glasses to see something close up (like on the ISIHAC website, the 30th anniv interview). I wonder if Graeme realised what a sexy beast he was ! |
Oh, yes, the glasses adjusting!!! Incredible. He does have lovely fingers. It's true.
In Bunfight when he mimes to Bill and Tim about turning round and walking 11 paces - there's some lovely fast moving finger work going on there.
And he does drum his fingers on his hips when he's doing his Impatient Pose in an excessively lovely manner.
There's a lot to be said for a man who lets his fingers do the talking...!!
Ahem.
I'll bet he didn't know of his sexy-beast-ness, that's what makes him so amazingly sexy, the sort of insecure, nervous look about him.
I think Ek's right - if ever he stumbled on this thread we'd all be in a lot of trouble.
Or he might just decide to start his very own harem and have "lots of little groupie girls offering themselves to him!"
(yes I know that's a Timbo line!!)
I think we'd all join.
"DINKUM DINKUM DINKUM, SPEAK TO ME IN AUSSIE!!!!"
or
"FUZZYCHOPS FUZZYCHOPS FUZZYCHOPS, SPEAK TO ME IN MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY!!!"
It's quite sexy in certain accents, y'know... ____________________________________ GRAEME: Will you be coming back tomorrow? SPEV: We might think about it...! GRAEME: See you tomorrow then!

' Well i don't know if i could give you a grid referance but i could tell you EXACTLEY when the boom (shadow) is in shot. When bill is smashing the wall he says "There you are one chimney.." then the camera focuses on tim and he says "bill you're rough... but you're kind.." then it crosses back to bill and in that 3 seconds look in the right hand corner and thats where the shadow of the boom is. i am very obsebive you see i know these things. |
There are many many many booms and boom shadows in The Goodies. That's part of its charm. With most programmes it's a really annoying occurance when a boom makes an appearance, but for some reason it doesn't matter in The Goodies - I don't know if that's a good or bad thing! We have a lovely song we sing on our show, along to the tune of Moon Shadow... *ahem* "I'm being followed by a boom shadow, boom shadow, boom shadow". I'd love to sit down and make a list of all the boom shadows and boom appearances in The Goodies, it'd be interesting. The worst light incident I remember was in The New Office (I think it was), when they were tearing apart the old office and then a piece of it blocked off one of the lights and left a serious shadow across Bill. It takes guts to get away with that, but they obviously did! |
