Take Part In The Goodies Audience Survey... |
more from same (The Goodies) |
To help show the BBC and other UKTV networks. That us fans and comedy lovers really want to watch The Goodies again on TV and DVD.
Please take part in The Goodies UK Audience Survey, that's been devised...
What I have done here is. I have produced a survey of seven simple questions for you answer. And when there are a significant number of responses, I will send this in to the BBC and UKTV GOLD or any television station that gets suggested.
This is more targeted at viewers in the UK. But if you are from abroad feel free to take part anyway.
This survey will also ask about new Goodies DVD's.
As television networks are difficult about these things (particularly the BBC). We need to make sure we get as many TV viewers as possible to fill in this survey as it seems the only way to get our voices across!
So... Please take part in The Goodies UK Audience Survey. 'You know it makes sense.'

more from same (The Goodies) |
Bill Oddie will be taking part in the 2016 Auckland Writers Festival. Here are details about his three events:
1. On Thursday, May 12th at 12:00pm there will be a Lunch with Bill Oddie at the Sails Restaurant in Westhaven Marina, Auckland. Here's the event description: "What better way to spend a Thursday than being regaled over lunch with tales of adventure and misadventure by Bill Oddie, former member of the frenetic British comedy trio The Goodies, now a more dignified but still lively presenter of BBC nature programmes. Diners enjoy a two-course meal with complimentary glass of Te Kairanga wine while overlooking the marina at the beautifully refurbished Sails Restaurant Auckland. Early booking essential." Tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz/5-Lunch-with-Bill-Oddie-tickets/artist/2220757.
2. Goodie Bill Oddie, Friday, 13 May 7:00pm at the ASB Theatre. "In the 1960s, Bill Oddie worked in theatre in London, New York and NZ, along with Tim Brooke Taylor and eventual Pythons Graham Chapman and John Cleese. Throughout the 1970s he was one third of the hugely successful TV show The Goodies, for which he also wrote and sang several Top Ten hits. Since resolving to turn his hobby of bird-watching into a job in the 1980s, he has presented many natural history series for the BBC, including the ground-breaking live broadcasts Springwatch and Autumnwatch. After battling mental illness, he has now re-emerged as a high profile conservationist and activist. Join Oddie for an evening of tall and/or avian tales with Jim Mora." Tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz/29-Goodie-Bill-Oddie-tickets/artist/2219578
3. Into the Wilds: Bill Oddie. "Whales, orangutans, elephants and a Pallas' Reed Bunting (that's a bird) have taken Bill Oddie round the world in recent years. In this session, the actor, writer, composer, TV presenter and activist shares stories of his escapades to exotic and not-so-exotic places and the creatures that lured him there." Saturday, 14 May 1:15pm Auckland Art Gallery Auditorium. Tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz/46-Into-The-Wilds-Bill-Oddie-tickets/artist/2222258
Ticketmaster says the tickets for all three events go on sale Friday, March 18th at 9:00am, though you should verify the on sale time for your local timezone.

RIP Sir George Martin |
more from same (British Comedy) |
We're very sorry to hear that Sir George Martin has passed away - he worked with Tim Brooke-Taylor and Bill Oddie as producer of the 1963 album of their Footlights Revue "Cambridge Circus" (other members of the cast were Anthony Buffery, John Cleese, David Hatch, Jo Kendall, and Chris Stuart-Clark). The "Cambridge Circus" revue later moved to the radio and became "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again". http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-35761464

"I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again...Again" in Cheltenham Feb 19, 2016 |
more from same (British Comedy) |
Coming up at The Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham on February 19th - "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again...Again" - from the event's Facebook Page: "Performed on stage in classic radio comedy style with music and sound effects, The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group recreates the anarchic and deliciously surreal cult comedy show that laid waste to BBC Radio in the 60’s and 70’s. A Greatest Hits compilation of original material by Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, this knockabout show celebrates the radio series that gave birth to The Goodies and Monty Python’s Flying Circus - not to mention I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue."
