The Download section now has lots more stuff for you to download. We've got the full TBT interview from Nottingham (in sound only, and in 5 parts for ease of download) as well as several video clips that were cut from Aussie episodes - including Bill's bum from Police and the entire Fairy Puff Man ad (in both sound and video). Enjoy!

Joining the Club

A note to all new members - you're very welcome on this site, and many thanks for registering - but if you want to receive the Clarion & Globe newsletter (new issue due out tomorrow) then please send an e-mail to joining@goodiesruleok.com - registering for this site only gives you access to online Goodies, as some people don't want/can't have things e-mailed to them.

The Goodies ringtone for your mobiles!
more from same ()
At last, you can order The Goodies theme tune as a mobile ringtone! It's available for UK, US and Aussie phones - Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson and Sagem - (plus Ireland and Germany - with NZ coming soon) by clicking on either of the links below: www.ringtonezone.net Click your country, and then put 'Goodies' into their search engine. You'll need to phone to order it, and their costs are at the foot of the page (the UK phone number was wrong at the time of posting this, it should be 4563 and not 4593 as the last 4 digits) (If anyone has ordered it for a Nokia, can you let me know if it's any good - it's pretty bad on my Motorola. If it's the same all round, I'll get them to change it (they've put pauses in the wrong place)

On behalf of the Goodies Rule OK Management people, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year. PS: the world ends at midnight, or 30 seconds after if Graeme fiddles with the clocks again :)

UK Horizons - a disgrace!
more from same ()
(as sent to the Goodies-L mailing list) I've just finished watching UK Horizon's re-run of the I Love the 1970s series - tonight was the very first one, 1970 and the one which originally showed The Goodies, being the year they started. They showed Kitten Kong toppling the post office tower in the titles of the show, but, due to commercial breaks, they cut over 10 minutes from the programme. Go on, have a guess which 10 minutes they cut? Yep, not a single mention of Tim, Bill, Graeme, or that bloody kitten. Not one! Has Jane Root got her poison-tipped claws into our satellite telly as well as the BBC now? Going to write to the station to complain - they've got an easy to use contact form on their website, and it'd be nice if quite a few people complained, you never know, it might get somewhere... UK Horizons Contact Form Oooh, I'm cross! I'm going to write to the Queen..... anyone know her address?

Tim Brooke-Taylors Guide to Surviving Christmas
more from same ()
Read Tim Brooke-Taylor's own guide to surviving Christmas here - it may have been written in the 80s, but there are some very good tips that you may want to take advantage of!

Goodies Pics now online
more from same ()
If you go to the Downloads section, there is a new link at the bottom to another Yahoo briefcase full of Goodies pics (note that you may have to click 'Show All' to see all the pics when you get there). This is a temporary setup until we can get the pictures onto the site proper. Keep checking back, it's only half uploaded and I'll be putting some more in over the next few days. UPDATE: For those interested in Goodies E-cards, you can send any of the pics in the Yahoo files as E-cards - click on the pic and select "send greeting". I've saved the Christmas picture on the site as "Christmas" in the Goodies general file, if you'd like to send that as a card to anyone.

Pictures from Tim's interview in Nottingham
more from same ()
I have put a few stills from the video of our interview with Tim online here (click on any of the photos to return to GROK) - more will follow when I receive them from the local paper. If anyone who was there has their own photos, can we please have copies to put online, too?

Exclusive Goody News!!!
more from same ()
Despite always swearing that he'd never do it, Bill Oddie was 'done' on This Is Your Life last night (5th Dec). He was surprised by Goodies guest star and TIYL presenter Michael Aspel at Slimbridge Wildfowl Park whilst filming a bird programme - and at first flatly refused to do the programme!

Picture and sound downloads
more from same ()
As we're still working on getting Goodies pics on the GROK site for you, I have uploaded a good number of my pics to my Yahoo briefcase, including Goodies pics, some sounds (inc theme tune), recent pictures of Tim and Graeme from ISIHAC recordings and some of Tim from his latest show, Bedside Manners - accessible from the Downloads section (and recently updated with lots more pictures).

Site Updates
more from same ()
Just a small update, I've added a few of the downloads we had previously on the site, however the image galleries still remain a problem. I'm still working on it but at least there's something to show I'm still working on it :)

Joining the GROK Club
more from same ()
A warm Goody welcome to all new members of the GROK club (and of course to the existing ones!) - just to clarify something that may be causing confusion, registering for the new revamped site DOES NOT automatically mean you've joined the fan club, just that you can post to the forums, contact other members and download Goodies files - music/pictures/video clips (which will be back online very soon). If you would like to join the fan club, receive the monthly Clarion and Globe, and be notified of GROK organised events, contact me through either the 'Contact' link or through the instructions in the FAQ. If you've received the C&G in the past, then you'll continue to do so, you don't need to join again.

Tim at the Nottingham Goodies event
more from same ()
On Saturday 24th November, a screening of Goodies episodes was held in the UK city of Nottingham - and we had a special guest drop in, as he was in town touring with his latest production, Bedside Manners. We rode into town, sporting our Lincoln Green tunics, riding a trandem and singing, "We're the Goodies, yes the Goodies..... the Goodies are coming for you...."
