Toys for Boys
zaphod
I've just been playing around with a friend's PDA, which happens ot have a GPS unit built in.  Could be quite a bit fo fun, but you need to be outside and it's too cold/wet/miserable out there to bother.

I'm actually contemplating buying it off him, although it will probably take me a while to get the cash together.

Unfortunately, I can't make it talk to my notebook (Apple Powerbook-G4 for those who want to know) so it's really useless to me except as a toy unless I can make it play nice with my notebook.

On a slightly different note, I think it's high time I had an early night

Mood - sleepy
Music - Bette Midler - Otto Titsling

Nope, not the whole soundtrack, just that particular song, which I find mildly amusing.

PDA = Personal Digital Assistant.  Like a small notebook with a few extras.  As for the GPS it's a Global Positioning System.  Means I can see where I am and the fastest route to where I want to go.  It's a Geek thing.

Gotcha.  The GPS I knew but PDA had me lost. Sounds a groovy little gadget.

It is a groovy little gadget, and now I'm officially buying it, I'm making some changes to the software on it.  For starters I've installed a nifty Infra-Red program which is a TV remote control so I can have fun changing people TV channels as I'm walking past
