My solution is to implement a 1-click spam deterrent. 1 click on the firing button of an ICBM should do the trick nicely.
Personally, I'd rather be mugged than Spammed. At least I can claim my insurance for a mugging.
My poor dear Mum (in her 70s) was being spammed so badly at one stage...even the subject lines had crude and foul stuff in them. I managed to find out about a program I could download to help her. It seemed to help and I think my nephew looked into something as well, if I remember rightly. It was awful.

Much a I would like to abandon the account, it's an account that gets email from a lot of other accounts, including the admin for this site and several others I manage. I can't very well get rid of it.
My main solution is to remove it from the server side of the equation. Personally, I want a spam-seeking-missile.
