When I first joined the club I had access to the web from home, which I lost when I had to move out of my house after selling it, so I disappeared from here for @ 2 weeks. This resulted in Janice posting her Cooee Cobber message. For any non Aussies reading Cooee is a bushies hailing call to a mate or cobber, especially when they dont exactly know where each other is. The sound developed because it travels well across paddocks and through bush, it also works in crowds. I guess now we have to add the internet to that list.
So a big THANKS MATE to Janice for posting the message.
What about a jolly swagman [itinerant worker or vagrant], a bushranger [horse mounted armed robber], or a prospecting miner. All part of Aussie bush lore and history.
