I should have known better than to try and upgrade a working system, now its borked (techinical term) and I have to try and fix it.
What I don't understand is if LDAP is so wonderful, why do they have to make it so (expletive deleted) difficult to get set up. Actually, I guess the fault is all mine anyhow, simply because I didn't bother doing all the research, just the minimum to actually understand what the acronym means and pretend I know what I'm talking about.
At least there's a lot of websites devoted to producing large quantities of barely digestible information about this topic.
One of these days I need to go through all the things I don't know very well and really learn them. I'll start with LDAP and work my way up to experimental brain surgery on small animals (BBC Execs), but until then, I continue with the hard slog of plodding along aimlessley like I tend to do anyway. Maybe I just need motivation, or at least a vacation of some description.
