It's 9pm on a thursday evening, and I'm working. How surprising
Actually, it isn't too bad this time, because I actually have some idea of what I'm doing now. I've been desperately trying to teach myself C (a programming language) for the past couple of months, and it's finally starting to click into place. The reason I'm desperately trying to teach myself is that I'm in the middle of a project that is waaaaaay overdue, and requires more speed than I can get out of it with my usual choice of programming language (Perl). So here's me, bumbling my way through what looks (and for all intents and purposes) like complete gibberish. It makes about as much sense as Bill on a Lemon Sherbert Trip, but finally, a faint ray of order comes from the mountain of chaos.
Needless to say, I got desperate enough to make a call to an aquaintance of mine who is heavily into software development and thi project would be right up his alley too. I called his mobile number only to find out that it was 6am in Norway (don't ask what he was doing there) and he wasn't at home (in my timezone) at all. Needless to say, I still feel rather embarassed about the whole thing, but he was amicable enough about it. Too bad he's too far away to help me on this project, and he won't be back until Monday. Oh well, looks like I'm on my own, and this really needs to be finished by the weekend.
Oh well, enough procrastinating, and time to get back to work.
