I have to say, that was one of the busiest weekends I've had in ages. Most of it was social so I can't blame work for it
Friday night, we went to the Night Train. It's a theater restaurant with a focus on comedy, with just a little horror thrown in for good measure. I might throw a couple of photos up on the site just to show how much fun we had
After we left the restaurant at about 11:30pm we headed off to the Pancake kitchen (24/7 pancakes & coffee ) to add a little grease to the diets of those in our group who chose to drink too much during the 4 hour drinks package that went with dinner.
Needless to say, we then spent over an hour and a half waiting for a taxi.
On Saturday however, I had to be up at 6am to get ready to go to a friends martial arts grading at 7:30. Lots of fun, but no chance to sit down all day, and we finished around 3pm. My legs are still killing me after that one.
Then on Saturday night, we went out to dinner for SFSA (Formerly the South Australian Dr Who Fan Club) at the Earl of Leicester hotel bistro. Food was rather nice, and large servings too .
Sunday however was much more sedate. Ended up doing almost nothing, except the usual chores we save for a sunday. Laundry, and stuff. Then we took off for a bike ride to work out the kinks and stopped at blockbuster to see if there was anything worth renting/buying. We bought a couple of DVD's. including Down Periscope, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Fantastic 4, and Constantine. I admit, I was disgusted that there were no Goodies DVDs to be had, for rent or sale so I complained to the management, and I bet he's happy I didn't have a black pudding with me.
