If anyone has the episodes in mpeg or divX or anything like that I can upload them into my web server, I have about 5gigs of transfers a month and I am not using the space at all at the moment.

I'd have to keep an eye on it though and if when/if it gets close to my bandwidth limit I'll have to pull the files till the next month or till I get my site up.

btw I download 700mb movies all the time, I love my broadband! I've check Kazaa and imesh for goodies all the time and never found anything but audio files.

Let me know. nick@masterpiecemolds.com

I have been using Divx for a year+ now and think it is great - I also like XviD for similar conversions.

I have looked for eps on Kazaa which would be a good way to share episodes but no one seems to have that. If you have a cable modem or similar connection it is a pretty good way to trade as you don't need to put up the files, they are traded through shared directories.

Still, 100+ megs is a lot for a dialup, but broadband seems to be getting more prevalent (sp?).

I will get the Goodies DVD if it comes out in a US region format. But until then, still looking for any episode.

<<<<<Is there no members who could do this? I'm trying to sort out burning CDRs but am finding it tricky. I'm suprised that there isn't any eps on offer on the downloads page.>>>>>

Apart from the copyright/licensing issues with having full episodes on a public website, the amount of bandwidth required for episodes would be pretty massive, especially if you want them in VCD format so they can be played on (most) standalone DVD players which essentially locks you into approx 10MB/min or 250MB+ an episode easily. Most internet users are still on dialup and who'd be willing to download files as big as that?  And then there's the cost of hosting such massive amounts of data as well for those who would be downloading it on a broadband connection.

Things can improve greatly if using something like DivX which, depending on the quality of the source and whether or not you're using fixed or variable quality based bitrates, can get excellent quality encodes with as little as 3.5MB/min at half PAL or essentially 1/3 of VCD MPEG.  That's still 100MB an episode though which is still pretty massive for dialup.    There's plenty of things that can be done to reduce that file size again - reduce framerate, frame size etc but every time you do that you're going to reduce the quality of the final product.  And from what I've seen/experienced the majority of people prefer to watch episodes of anything full screen on their PCs and that's when all the file size reduction options will show up with blocky pictures and other compression problems.  The big question is how much compression is too much and that's only answerable by the individual.

I have not seen Goodies in 20 years but have always remembered the show. I am looking for any episodes at all to start building my collections. I have none to trade but have lots of other shows.

I have been converting many shows to Divx (and Xvid) Mpeg4 videos for viewing/archiving. If anyone has any mpg's for download or trade I would be very pleased to make arrangements. Tapes are good as well.

howdy from the states. Very new at this, so i apologize if this goes wrong. looking for any, repeat, any Goodies episodes. They introduced me to British humor and miss them badly. recently rediscovered them through ISIRTA and ISIHAC and would greatly appreciate any one interested in a file share of some sort. I have gathered 98 ISIRTA episodes as mp3 and will share them willingly if anyone is interested and has Goodies as mpg, avi, or divx. Not really expecting a lot of feedback from this attemp, but any would be recieved with gratitude. many thnx and be well
PS - i will be putting ISIRTA files up for trade on 'winmx', feel free to find them if you like.  search for ISIRTA on the main server and look for my name.
