Sounds like you're describing one of the greatest hits compiliations.  Most of the songs from those are available on the two commercially released Goodies CDs, "Yum Yum (The Best of the Goodies)" and "Funky Gibbon" (which is a budget version of "Yum Yum").

I know that HMV in Australia carries the "Funky Gibbon" CD.  Both titles can usually be found at Amazon.co.uk (which has track listings as well).

A lot of the actual songs are available on compilation Cds. I've transferred from vynil, cleaned it up and chucked it on to CD for my own purposes.
