Laservampire :

' Sorry it's been almost THREE YEARS since I've been here, the LP transfer wasn't entirely satisfactory and I intend on doing a better one.

I managed to get a hold of an original 1973 "Sing Songs From The Goodies" and can confirm that the 1976 "World Of The Goodies" LP uses the same master stampers as the original.

I had heard an mp3 rip of the '73 LP that sounded better than my '76 LP and went on a wild goose chase to find a nice copy. Turns out they're the same, except my friend's turntable wasn't as great as he had made out, which caused a big imbalance between the channels and a little bit of distortion.

As I've finally got my own excellent turntable and cartridge I can do a rip to my standards!!

Once again, sorry for the wait!

Are you able to upload in .flac or .wav?

My friend has finished the transfer and he says it's as clean as a whistle! No surface noise at all!

I'll pick it up this Saturday so I'll upload it for everyone very very soon.

(In lossless .flac format for the best quality)

Sorry it's taken so long, but I had to wait for the record store's LP cleaning machine to get fixed, as I want this to be the best sounding "World Of The Goodies" possible!

The LP is now at my friend's place and he's going to transfer it this week

I just found myself a MINT unplayed copy of "The World Of The Goodies" and I'm in the process of getting a friend to transfer it to CD for me on his audiophile grade turntable.

Once it's all done I'll post a lossless .flac copy for everyone here to enjoy!
