In very similar news, today I bought the 'Do Not Adjust Your Set' dvd. The episode with Tim is GREAT! He pops up four times and runs the full course of Tim-ness including crying when Denise Coffey tells him to "Push off", getting the audience to go "Awwwww" when Eric Idle tells him to "Push off" and dressing up in drag and having a fight with Denise (in the Lady Constance voice) over who should be playing Juliet (while Eric Idle, Terry Jones and David Jason argue about who's supposed to be playing Romeo). Then they knock each other's wigs off and she gets a Tim cuddle.

DO A CARTWHEEL FOR YOUR UNCLE TIM?!?!?!!?!?!
Good GRIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The dirty old man. God I love him.
You know, I bet Bill had got all pissed off with him for that and Tim just meant it all innocently. |
Heehee, I was very shocked when Tim said that - but it's still funny in a slightly disturbing way!
I'm still really chuffed to bits that I made Tim laugh. I know it sounds stupid but when you meet one of your comedy idols and you say something that THEY find amusing it's... gosh I'm getting all tearful as I type. But seriously it was rather emotional.
Soppy old git, aren't I?! |
Heehee, yup, he certainly looked in your direction and chuckled. I was insanely happy when you told me that my thumbs up exchange with Tim made Rob Brydon and Barry laugh - it really made my day. If only I could remember whether Tim laughed. I remember he had a cheeky grin on his face, but I don't know remember if he laughed or not. Do you remember?
If I made Graeme and Humph laugh too, I would be truly made up.

*practises cartwheels* Damn, they've become even MORE impossible since puberty and fat took over... |
God, I nearly choked and fell off my chair with laughter when I heard that.

'I think it was in "Complete Children's Stories" where there was a rude joke about climbing down from Rock Hudson and Tim looked a little blank then laughed, "Oh I get it now!" and everyone laughed. That was ever so cute. |
I can't remember that. I was probably still laughing from the joke before that.

'I think that moment was extraordinarily sweet. I remember everyone made "oooh! handbag!!" sort of noises at Barry when he said that. Tim made some sort of strange reply which I can't remember at all, sadly.
Tim was just leaning on the desk, sort of in a little world of his own, resting his head in his hands and then started chattering away nineteen to the dozen, and Barry goes "We are NOT at home to Mrs Hand Over the Mouth!" Poor Tim. I was still in Highly Maternal Mode over him as it was still Pre Cuddle, and I just wanted to go and rescue him and take him for hot chocolate and cakes to cheer him up. "Nasty Barry Saying Nasty Things To Timbo... Awwww!!!"
How fantastic WOULD it have been though if Tim had done the high pitched crying when Barry said that?! Wow. I would have been SO impressed. |
Was it during Just A Minim? I think Tim was challenging Barry or Graeme and mumbling quite severely, it was very hard to make out what he was saying so I thought it was funny that Barry should do one of his "we're not at home to Mrs..." Even then I think it took Tim a while to get the point, then I'm sure he did respond, but I can't remember what it was.
When I got back from ISIHAC and up until yesterday I had a sore neck on my right side - I realised I must have been doing it to stare at Tim in quite a daydream-like fashion. Oh dear!
I think it was in "Complete Children's Stories" where there was a rude joke about climbing down from Rock Hudson and Tim looked a little blank then laughed, "Oh I get it now!" and everyone laughed. That was ever so cute. '

'If we'd been any sorts of people who remembered at the time and who didn't find the idea a bit odd - we should've filmed one of us being cuddled by Tim, Jess could have put it up here cos she's clever like that and knows how to do it (as does PJ, according to Tim) and then been able to have a sensible blow-by-blow (erm. oh god.) review of exactly at what moment people's knees gave way and you could've had visual proof of exactly how snuggly and squidgy and cuddly and cosy and *mmmmrahaahahaammmmyaaamm* that cuddle was. |
Hahaha, a Timbo cuddle on film would be quite something. I got my Timbo hug after I posed for the photo, so when we cuddled he joked "No photos this time!" Not sure if I said anything outloud, but I was disappointed! Oh well, at least I have witnesses to it on this site! '
Punheaven :
'Anyone who is planning on gettting a cuddle in Edinburgh now has their instructions. Videos of hugs need to be made. |
Heehee, that is incredibly tempting, I'll have to give it a go!
