First person - Q&A with Bill Oddie
From: adelaidenow May 25, 2013
Comedian Bill Oddie.
THE comedian answers some simple questions.
Adelaide is… somewhere I have never been!
Home is… leafy Hampstead.
As a child I wanted to be… taller.
In reality I’m now… confused.
The teacher I’ll never forget… Mr Trott, my English teacher.
My most memorable moment on set… was singing Wild Thing to an audience of stoned policemen.
I feel most creative when... I’m trying to get some sleep.
My friends would tell you I’m… pleasanter than I was.
I’m happiest when… pottering around in my garden.
I can’t say no to… Claire Danes.
I’ll never say yes to… (television show) I’m a celebrity, get me out of here. I have said no four times. I think they’ve got the message.
My most treasured possession… are my ears.
I collect… dust.
The song that gets me on the dance-floor… is anything funky by Prince.
The last dream I remember having…The truth is for years I didn’t think I dreamt. I still don’t dream much, but I have started hearing voices!
You wouldn’t know it but… I am actually 6 foot 3 inches.
Bill Oddie will perform his one-man show at the Adelaide Town Hall on Wednesday, June 26, at 7.30pm.
Tickets at BASS 131 246.
