| "At Last the 1948 Show" DVD to be released in US in July |
more from same (British Comedy) |
(thanks to Alison Bean for posting this info on the goodies-l mailing list).
Accoring to http://www.action-tv.org.uk/news_dvdvideo.htm, "At Last the 1948 Show" is coming to DVD in the US on 26th July. This is the 1967 British sketch show that starred Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, and Marty Feldman. It was originally thought that all 13 episodes of the series had been wiped but much of the material has been recovered.
Fans of Monty Python will also be interested to see that "Do Not Adjust Your Set" (another late 1960's sketch show featuring several of the future Pythons) is being released on DVD in the US on the same day.

| Please send Goodies inquiries to the club, not Big Laugh Productions |
more from same (The Fan Club) |
A number of fans have mentioned writing to John Pinder or Big Laugh Productions (the producers of the Goodies live show in Australia) with Goodies-related questions. It'd be best if you sent such questions to the club. While the folks at Big Laugh are very nice they're also incredibly busy working on other projects; they're also not the right people to ask about things such as Goodies DVDs. Feel free to send any Goodies questions to me (at president@goodiesruleok.com or use the "Contact Us" function on this site); I'll do my best to answer them.
At present we don't know if the Goodies will do any additional live shows (finding time in all their schedules is a big problem in itself). However, if any future shows are planned the club will spread the news as soon as it becomes available.

| update about "Hamish & Dougal" series 2 CD |
more from same (British Comedy) |
"Hamish and Dougal, You'll Have Had Your Tea: Series 2" was released in the UK on 4 April. This 2-CD set contains all six episodes of the second series. It doesn't have the Hogmanay special from 31 December 2004; that's probably being held for a later release.
"Hamish and Dougal" is a spin-off from "I’m Sorry I Haven't A Clue". It stars Graeme Garden and Barry Cryer.
