"Bromwell High" & "Barney" DVDs

The Goodies* A while back it was reported that Graeme Garden would be doing a voice in an animated show called "Streatham Hill", whose title was later changed to "Bromwell High".  "Bromwell High" is scheduled to be released on DVD in the UK on 19 September and in Australia on  6 October.

* Speaking of animated shows in which a Goody provided a voice, I've just noticed that a DVD of Barney the dog (NOT the dinosaur) was released in the UK last August.  Tim Brooke-Taylor and Harry Enfield provide the voices in "Barney Gets Into Mischief".

Graeme returns to "Holby City" 26 July

Graeme Garden will be making another appearance in UK television series "Holby City" this coming Tuesday (26 July).  The show airs on BBC at 20:00.

Willy Wonka repeat on UK Channel Five Sunday (24 July)

British ComedyAlison Bean reports on goodies-l that UK television channel Five will be showing "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" this Sunday (24 July) at 6:10pm. Tim Brooke-Taylor has an amusing cameo in the film as a man who thinks he can locate the next golden ticket with a computer.

Alison also reports that Bill is currently doing the voiceover for the TV ads for Kashi breakfast cereal.

Graeme & Tim "Just A Minute" episodes on uknova

British ComedyBen Tumney reports on the goodies-l mailing list that www.uknova.com has old episodes of the radio series "Just a Minute" with Tim and Graeme.  You'll need to be able to download bit torrent files to use this service.

Tim appears in series 15 and Graeme in series 11, 15 and 17.

Tim's appearance in BBC Proms

The 16 July BBC Proms concert was a performance of HMS Pinafore,
at the Royal Albert Hall - with a linking narration provided by Tim!

According to Duncan, Tim sat on the stage in a large leather armchair and "popped up between songs to explain the (minimal!) plot and chuck in some
contemporary topical jokes."

The broadcast will be repeated on Radio 3 on Tuesday 19th July at 2pm,  and will be on BBC 1 TV at some currently undetermined point.  It is available on Radio 3's Listen Again service at http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/listen/ thorugh the end of the week.

another Bill Oddie show this autumn

The GoodiesBBC1 has announced some shows that will appear on the channel this autumn.
Among the line-up is a show presented by Bill Oddie called "The Truth About Killer Dinosaurs" which will ask how much we see and read about dinosaurs is accurate.

There's no information about the broadcast date yet

To hear the show open a radio player from http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/, open the radio player and then scroll down the 'A to Z of all shows' on the left hand side.

The GoodiesBBC Radio Wales will be repeating "Space Hoppers, Tank Tops and Me" on Sunday, 10 July at 12:30 and again on Monday, 11 July at 18:30.  Here's a listing: "Huw Williams presents a series about the 70s, the decade that taste forgot. This edition recalls the Goodies and Bob Harris's Old Grey Whistle Test." 

BBC Radio Wales can be heard online at 
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/.  I don't know if the show will be available via Listen Again.

Graeme on 'Holby City' on 28 June

Next Tuesday (28 June), Graeme is billed with a guest role in BBC-1's drama series Holby City. Transmission will be 20:00 - 21:00 and the episode is entitled 'Rat Race', written by Jeff Dodds and directed by Nigel Douglas. Radio Times carries a full cast list, with Graeme down as Mr Loftwood.
