| one more day until BBC 2 Goodies repeat! |
more from same (The Goodies) |
Tomorrow night (Saturday, 4th March) BBC 2 will be repeating the Goodies episode "Winter Olympics" at 19:10.
Use the comments field to let us know if you have anything special planned (such as inviting some friends round to make it a evening of watching the repeat followed by some Goodies DVDS).
Be sure to spread the news about the repeat to all your friends. The BBC will be paying close attention to the ratings and the viewer feedback; the better the response, the better the chance for additional repeats in the future!

| Apologies |
more from same (Website) |
Due to a major stuff-up (by yours truly) the wrong graphic was being displayed on the site this morning. The graphic from last years March Tour was being displayed instead of the normal trandem graphic which should have been there.
Sorry to get anyone's hopes up, although I for one would have loved another tour.

| less than a week until The Goodies return to BBC 2! |
more from same (The Goodies) |
As a sort of preview for this Saturday's Goodies repeat on BBC 2 (the "Winter Olympics" episode, which will air 4th March at 7.10pm) a copy of the song "Winter Sportsman" will be available from http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7yes3/illustratedguides/records_cds.html for one week only. Please note that this is the version from the Goodies first album, with Tim on lead vocal; if you want to hear Bill's version you'll have to tune in to "Winter Olympics" on BBC 2 Saturday night.
Be sure to spread the news about the repeat to all your friends. The BBC will be paying close attention to the ratings and the viewer feedback; the better the response, the better the chance for additional repeats in the future!

| Linda Smith RIP |
more from same (British Comedy) |
I'm very sad to be reporting the passing of Linda Smith, who many of you will know from her guest appearances on "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" as well as other BBC comedy shows.
The following BBC News story comes from http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4759968.stm (an obituary can be found at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4759922.stm):
Radio comedian Linda Smith dies Comic Linda Smith, a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, has died of cancer at the age of 48. The writer and broadcaster was a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and BBC Radio, whose listeners voted her "Wittiest Person" in 2002. She made frequent appearances on Just A Minute and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, as well as the TV shows Have I Got News For You, Room 101 and Mock the Week.
Radio 4 controller Mark Damazer said her passing was "a terrible loss". "Linda was a Radio 4 giant," he added. "She generated an energy and warmth in every programme she ever did that made her fellow comedians and millions of listeners love her."
News Quiz regular Jeremy Hardy paid an emotional tribute, calling her "the wittiest and brightest person working on TV or radio panel games". "It was impossible to be in her company for more than a few minutes without laughing," he continued. "Even when she was very ill, she had her friends laughing and feeling uplifted despite our sadness. "I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful friend."
Ms Smith, who is survived by her partner Warren Lakin, died on Monday. Mr Hardy told Radio 4 she had been ill for some time from ovarian cancer.
A special tribute edition of the News Quiz will be broadcast on Friday at 1830 GMT, presented by her fellow panellist Andy Hamilton.
