Funny.co.uk article about Goodies Edinburgh show
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesFunny.co.uk has an article about the Goodies show; the article can be found at http://www.funny.co.uk/news/art_76-4109-Goodies-At-The-Fringe.html and reads:

Goodies At The Fringe
Posted By Ghost (01 June, 2006)

If when you read the names Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie next to each other and feel a small thrill of nostalgia and excitement, then get yourself down to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year because the Goodies have reformed.

Garden and Brooke-Taylor are to perform live with Bill Oddie pre-recording sections and appearing on a giant screen.

The trio will be showcasing the best of their old stuff and also performing some brand new material, and also possibly explaining exactly how they came up with some of those ideas in the first place.

For those that aren't familiar with the Goodies, they were a 1970's comedy trio that starred in their own TV series about 'an agency of three men, who can do anything, anywhere.'

The show featured a number of celebrity guests, including Michael Aspel, John Peel, Terry Wogan and Tony Blackburn, not to mention the legendary Patrick Moore.

The reunion happened after the Goodies made a stage comeback in Australia last year. The shows have been repeated often and have a huge cult following. It's hoped that that success will be repeated here.

Goodies show mentioned on Edinburgh Festivals site
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesThe Edinburgh Festivals website (billed as "The only official online listings for all the Edinburgh Festivals") has the Brian Ferguson article about the Goodies stage show at http://www.edinburgh-festivals.com/topics.cfm?tid=933&id=780842006.  This is the article that ran in several other publications last week.

Since the club's May 23rd announcement about the shows has gotten pushed off our home page by newer items I'll repeat the information here.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden will be bringing their highly successful Goodies Live show to this year's Edinburgh Fringe festival.  My understanding is the show will be similar to the second leg of the Goodies Australian tour, with Bill Oddie participating via the wonders of video (due to his many filming commitments).
"THE GOODIES STILL RULE OK! Tim Brooke-Taylor & Graeme Garden Live on Stage" will play at the Assembly Rooms Music Hall from Friday 4 August to Sunday 27 August (excluding 21 August).  Each performance will start at 5.30pm and will run for approximately 90 minutes.
Tickets will be available from the Fringe box office (http://www.edfringe.com/) starting Thursday, 8 June.  Tickets will also be sold by the Assembly Rooms box office (http://www.assemblyrooms.com/), although I don't have their on sale date yet.
I'll pass along further details (including ticket prices) as they become available.
BBC Comedy article about the Goodies Edinburgh Fringe show
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesI just found this article from the BBC Comedy Blog (at http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/news/2006/05/24/32409.shtml) which was posted the day after the club broke the news about the Goodies upcoming Edinburgh show:
"The Comedy Blog
Fringe Goodies
24th May 2006
Ecky thump! Look who's coming to the Edinburgh festival...
Another day, and another announcement about cult comedy stars coming to the Edinburgh Fringe.
And following on from The Krankies and Bernie Clifton, today it's The Goodies - or at least two-thirds of them.
Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden will be at the Assembly Rooms for the entire duration of the festival, with a nostalgic look back at their hit show, complete with clips and outtakes.
Bill Oddie won't be there, as he will be tied up with filming commitments, but he has recorded video inserts. It's the same arrangement as an Australian tour that proved so successful earlier this year.
The 90-minute show will be on at the venue's Music Hall from August 4 to 27, and tickets go on sale once the Fringe programme is published on June 8.
(Goodies fans, don't miss Return of the Goodies, Monday May 29, 10pm BBC Four.
