| Goodies Music Reviews now on website |
more from same (The Goodies) |
The Goodies Music Reviews are now available in the "Articles" section of this website. These reviews (by Alison Bean, Linda Kay and myself) are from past editions of the Clarion & Globe newsletter and cover 23 Goodies songs, including Funky Gibbon, Black Pudding Bertha, I'm A Teapot and many many more. Each review now contains the full song lyrics (or at least my best stab at them anyway!), along with plenty of sick puns and twisted Goodies references (there, you've been warned!), so if you've always wondered what the words are for a particular Goodies song, then wonder no more! Upcoming music reviews will include "Bounce" in the August C&G and "Ride My Pony" in either the October or November edition

more from same (Website) |
Unfortunately, sometime overnight, we had a system craqsh, which damanged a couple of the databases . This caused a few headaches, but should all be back up and running again now.
If you spot any problem, email me using the admin@goodiesruleok.com address and I'll get onto it

| Registration problems |
more from same (Website) |
Apologies to all those people who have recently tried to register on the site using an AOL.com account. AOL is being lazy about removing the server's IP address from their blacklists (someone had uploaded an insecure script to their website on the same server and allowed spam to go through nearly a year ago) and I'm seeing quite a few aol.com account registrations bounce becasue of this. I've done everything I can from my end to sort this problem out, and now it's up to AOL. Personally, I suggest using a different provider for your email, at elast until they get off their collective behinds and fix their email policy.

| More articles on the website |
more from same (The Goodies) |
If you let your mouse wander over to the "Articles" section in the menu on the left, you'll see that I've posted a number of Goodies-related articles up on the website today. All of these have appeared in past editions of our Clarion & Globe newsletters, however they should be of interest to our newer members and even long-time members who haven't looked through the back issues of the C&G for a while. At present I've posted all of the Question & Answer interviews that Tim, Graeme and Bill have kindly provided for us in the past, plus several of the C&G feature articles including the Goodies scenes which the ABC censored, T'Lancastrian's guide to the secrets of Ecky Thump and a review of one of Tim & Graeme's Australian tour shows to give U.K. fans a taste of what they have got to look forward to in Edinburgh, just to name a few. I'll try to put at least one new article on the site each week from now on if possible. I've deliberately kept the formatting very basic, but please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve it.

| recap of info about "The Goodies Still Rule OK!" at the Edinburgh Fringe |
more from same (The Goodies) |
Here's a recap of previously-announced information, for new visitors to the site.
About the Show: Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden will be bringing their highly successful Goodies Live show to this year's Edinburgh Fringe festival. My understanding is the show will be similar to the second leg of the Goodies Australian tour, with Bill Oddie participating via the wonders of video (due to his many filming commitments).
Dates/Times/Ticket Prices: "THE GOODIES STILL RULE OK! Tim Brooke-Taylor & Graeme Garden Live on Stage" will play at the Assembly Rooms Music Hall from Friday 4 August to Sunday 27 August (excluding 21 August). Each performance will start at 5.30pm and will run for approximately 90 minutes.
Tickets are currently on sale from the Fringe box office (http://www.edfringe.com/ and 0131 226 0000) and the Assembly Rooms box office (http://www.assemblyrooms.com/ and 0131 226 2428).
The first three nights are considered previews; tickets for these dates will be £14.00. From 7 Aug on the tickets will be £16.00.
Press Contact: We'll be posting the media release as soon as we can. In the meantime, press enquiries should be directed to David Burns of Burning Issues PR:
