upcoming dates in The Goodies Still Rule OK! tour
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesTim & Graeme are on the road with The Goodies Still Rule OK! tour.  Upcoming shows through April 18th will be in Lincoln, High Wycombe, Nottingham, Buxton, Tunbridge Wells, Basingstoke, Southend, Hull, Bradford, Birmingham, Darlington, Edinburgh, Croydon, Derby, Dartford, Eastbourne, Oxford, and Northampton.  Full details about dates, venues, & ticketing info can be found in our FAQ at http://www.goodiesruleok.com/faq.php?topic=10

Here's a description of the show from the press release:

The Goodies are back and touring the UK with their hit show, The Goodies Still Rule OK!, a celebration of one of the most popular TV comedy series of the 1970s. The show, which received rave reviews at The Edinburgh Festival last Summer and sold out two tours in Australia, stars comic legends Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden. Due to filming commitments, the third member of the trio, Bill Oddie will beam his performance to the venues via the wonders of digital technology.

The Goodies were an integral part of the remarkable explosion of British comedy talent during the 1970s. Blending reminiscences with ridiculousness, The Goodies Still Rule OK! offers a chance to hang out with Tim and Graeme, enjoy cyber-Bill and share with them their favourite sketches, video clips and behind the scenes tales.

The Goodies Still Rule OK! will include the Goodies’ filthy bits banned by Australian TV,  sketches from the student revue that took them to Broadway, Tim’s Union Jack Waistcoat and quite possibly a few explosions (insurance pending!). With all new exclusive footage of Bill Oddie, the audience have the bonus of a rare sighting of the Lesser Tutted Scruff Pot after being returned to the wild.

new interview with Graeme / 2001 interview with Tim
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesA new interview with Graeme, to promote The Goodies Still Rule OK! tour, appeared in yesterday's edition of the Nottingham Evening Post.  It can be read online at http://www.nottinghameveningpost.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=133942&command=displayContent&sourceNode=221221&contentPK=16892086&folderPk=103546&pNodeId=188964.

While searching for articles about the tour (which overthe next few weeks will be visiting Windsor, Lincoln, High Wycombe, Nottingham, Buxton, Tunbridge Wells, Basingstoke, Southend, Hull, Bradford, Birmingham, Darlington, Edinburgh, Croydon, Derby, Dartford, Eastbourne, Oxford, and Northampton - full details at http://www.goodiesruleok.com/faq.php?topic=10) I came across a 2001 interview with Tim from the Worcester News.  I can't remember if we ran this back then and figured it was interesting enough to include a pointer to it - http://archive.worcesternews.co.uk/2001/9/6/308976.html

Goodies in new issue of SFX Magazine
more from same (The Goodies)
The GoodiesThe April 2007 issue of SFX (issue #155) includes an article about the Goodies (written by Andrew Pixley).

As you can see from SFX's website, at http://www.sfx.co.uk/page/sfx?entry=latest_issue, the cover includes a photo of Graeme (and EBGB) from the "U-Friend or U.F.O.?" episode and this blurb: "TIME MACHINE: Goodie Goodie Yum Yum! The show itself may not have been explicitly sci-fi but The Goodies was packed with brilliant sci-fi ideas, and we've spoken to Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor about their love of the genre."

The issue is now on sale.  If you can't find it locally it can be purchased online from the SFX site.

Website downtime
more from same (Website)
WebsiteIt's finally happened.  My old-faithful server (having seen just shy of 7 years faithful service) has passed on.  It's kicked the bucket and shuffled of this mortal coil.

It's <expletive deleted> snuffed it.

So I've spent the past 24 hours trying desperately to get my shiny new server installed and up to spec in record time.  And now here it is.
