The Financial Times mentions "Humph in Wonderland" |
more from same (British Comedy) |
In the FT's radio column from December 24, 2007 they mention the "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" special "Humph in Wonderland", which will air on BBC Radio 4 on Christmas day.
Here's the excerpt:
RADIO - MARTIN HOYLE Published: December 24 2007 02:00 |
Ahhs all round for Cinderella's Ponies , panto's inveterate Shetland scene-stealers (11.00am). *** Talking of which, although the BBC has abandoned its home-grown panto with serious broadcasters riotously relaxing, Humph in Wonderland (12.04pm) raises smiles. When the I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue lot avoid the traps of silliness, smut and Jeremy Hardy's knee-jerk politicising they are very funny, especially Sandi Toksvig's Queen of Hearts and Tim Brooke- Taylor's Duchess. And for that most famous smile in literature, who better as the Cheshire Cat than hatchet-faced Jack Dee?
