thanks much---i'm sure some people will enjoy the bit of song.
And yes, those of us in the States can access the webcams. Not the iplayer stuff, but the cams work just fine.
Perhaps too well.

Yes, tis up there - and as the board's closed for the night, will stay on the front page til tomorrow morning at least.

Can people outside the UK get the webcam streams - I understand they can't watch the programme which is a shame.  Been watching foxes and badgers feeding on the live webcams tonight.

Many thanks for that kc - I've posted it, with a note to say that I'll remove it if anyone objects on copyright issues.  Have credited William Edgar Oddie and where it's from too.

Have uploaded it to my own Putfile account so no one will shout at you!

At the moment, my threads are being pre-modded as I'm a new member, so not sure if or when it'll be posted, but it's on the thread called 'A plea to the BEEB' - although other pleas to the BEEB to repeat the Goodies have fallen on deaf ears, grumble, grumble.....

Just in case this info is helpful, there's also a version of "Spring, Spring, Spring" in the ISIRTA 25th Anniversary Special which is availalbe on CD.

oh no, did the comment i left in this forum, in the post about the Springwatch complaints, spawn that outcry? I scurried to find the Springwatch board after reading your note!

I would believe that a chorus of the song, with correct credits would probably fall under fair use. let me edit something and get it to you. (it won't be the full song, just a verse and a chorus, if that's ok)

ok...i didn't want to cut out mid-line, so this is a bit longer than I hoped...but it's the intro, couple of verses, chorus and fades out in the "instrumental" bridge.
Bill Oddie wrote the song, so make sure to have that info in your post. this version came from the ISIRTA Christmas special "dick whittington and his wonderful hat" first broadcast Dec 26 1968.

You can find it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UXFPDC1U  (it was too big to post on this board...so just download it, ok?)

People on the Springwatch message board are asking to hear Bill sing Spring, Spring, Spring - have posted that it's actually Tim singing it, but does anyone have an mp3 of the track I can post up?  Would it contravene any copyrights if I did?

And if not the mp3, can someone post up the lyrics please, can't find them anywhere - my copy's stashed away with all my vinyl somewhere and not to hand.
