Although I live in Region 1, I have the DVD, and it plays beautifully...even on my computer!

My cat especially enjoys watching the filmed segments (and not just the "Kitten Kong" ones).  He perches on the armrest of the sofa and watches with the same rapt intensity he shows when watching the pigeons on the balcony.

The DVDs are definitely Region 0 (even though most shops mistakenly list as Region 2).  I do have a set myself but, just to reassure you, I'll point you to Network's own website (that's the company that released the DVDs & videos).

Go to http://www.networkvideos.co.uk/catalogue/dvd_vhs/goodies/g_dvd_v1.html and, at the bottom of the page, you'll see a confirmation that the DVDs are Region 0.

Also, at http://www.the-mausoleum-club.org.uk/network/network_goodies.htm you can see a scan of the back cover of the DVD which, again, says it is Region 0.

Has anyone ordered the DVD in Australia?

The newsletter (Clarion) said thay are Region ) but on Blackstar and Amazon thay are region 2.  As I ahve only just got a DVD I am unsure if the Region 2 works like PAL/SECAM on VHS

Can anyone who has ordered it let me know

Matt

Chicken for Sunday?  Luxury!  We have to give the budgie chest expanders!

The episodes on the DVD are available on VHS( see http://www.blackstar.co.uk/video/item/7000000077817).

The VHS copy does not include the DVD bonus materials (such as the audio commentaries, outtakes, and surviving "Broaden Your Mind" footage).  However, you'll still be getting 8 excellent (and digitally restored) Goodies episodes.

Does anyone know if the new DVD will also be out on VHS? as I am the only person not to have a DVD player in the world, I still have Gas lighting and our Chicken for Sunday is stuck inside the out house next door to the Toilet. If anyone can help with this, this ragamuffin would be most happy...Ta!
