It was just re-made once, for the 1972 Montreux awards. There are suspcions that the original master was re-edited for the Montreux version, but this has not been confirmed. At present no one knows of an existing copy of the original version but I'm rather hopeful a print will show up at some point (like a lot of the other shows that have been returned to the BBC archives).
As far as the differences between the two versions, Andrew Pixley wrote an excellent article about this which he allowed the club to print in its newsletter, the Clarion & Globe, issue #61. Hi, I was just wondering about Kitten Kong, And about all the remake's, for montreaux ect... What was diffrent about it before? How many times was it remade? Was it just the once? And what happened to the original? though I would have a guess that the beeb junked it?
