Brilliant message, Jeff & Jane, thank you.

Since I think the title of the thread needs to be updated in order to catch people's attention, I'm going to start another one now.

We're pleased as punch and so grateful to wish Bill well on his 80th birthday. Bill's Goodies antics - and music! - was such a big part of our childhood entertainment and influenced our developing personalities ... those bits of Bill cheekiness and passion come through still.

His work, in all sorts of eras and formats, brings us continued happiness as we go through our stages of life. What a guy and what a talent.

Back on 5th September 2020, Bill announced on Twitter that he had been very ill over that summer with Lithium poisoning. This is a prescribed mental health drug which he had been taking for several years but, as can sometimes happen with this medication, a problem had developed with the dosage.

When Bill was spotted birding in the Scilly Isles the following month, we saw this as a positive sign. Understanding that he was off social media to aid his recovery, we weren't expecting any tweets for a while. But several months passed, and apparently Bill is still feeling very low. I'm sure the terribly sad loss of his friend Tim has affected him deeply.

If you would like to write a message to Bill to wish him a swift recovery, I'm gathering them all together and Barnaby Eaton-Jones will email them to Bill. Please put your encouragement/admiration into words below. Thank you - I know it will buck him up just like the Elixir!
