Reminder about on sale dates for tickets:
  * Tickets for the shows in Geelong, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Albury, Canberra, Adelaide, Rockhampton, Cairns, and Townsville go on sale this coming Monday, 19 September.

  * Tickets for Melbourne go on sale to club members next Wednesday, 21 September and to the general public on Friday, 23 September.

  * Tickets are currently on sale for Perth, Parramatta, Launceston, and Hobart.

The full tour schedule, including booking information, can be found in the club FAQ at http://www.goodiesruleok.com/faq.php?topic=10

Coffs Harbour booking info:
At present the FAQ does not include a booking number for the show at the Ex-Servicemans Club in Coffs Harbour.  We're awaiting this info and will post it as soon as possible.

Preferential Seating info:
  * For the shows going on sale next Monday - A VERY LIMITED amount of preferential seating will be available for all shows.  You must book either by calling or visiting the theater box office or by calling the ticketing agency to obtain the preferential seating (it will not be available online).

  * For Melbourne - please note that there won't be preferential seating during the advance ticket sale that's been set up for club members (on Sept 21st-22nd).  Preferential seating *will* be available once tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 23rd (though obviously it'll be advantageous to book tickets during the advance sale).  To request preferential seating in Melbourne you'll need to contact The Arts Centre Mail Bookings Dept either by email (mailbook@theartscentre.net.au), fax (0396457770), or mail (PO Box 7153 Melbourne Vic 8004)

Fan get-togethers:
Some posts are popping up in the club forums about get-togethers being organized in various cities before or after the Goodies shows.  You might like to check these out (or consider organizing one in your town!)

Does that mean that pre-sale tix will be better or preferential seating tix will be better in Melbourne?

Lisa, I'm a bit confused about the preferential seating for the Melbourne show.  Does that mean I cannot book on line with Ticketmaster on Wednesday and get preferrential seating?  Do I have to book directly via the Arts Centre to get preferential seating.  And can I do it by phone, or is it only by email, fax or mail?

Last time I was able to book online and type in the code word and I was able to get front row seats.  Is this not the case this time?

I agree that the set up in Melbourne is a bit confusing.  My advice is to try to purchase your ticket during the pre-sale (earlier is better).  I will try to determine if you can purchase the pre-sale tickets online.

Once tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday you will need to go through the Arts Center Bookings Department to request the preferential seats.  I did question whether it could be done by phone but they said no, it had to be done by email, fax or mail.

I contacted Ticketmaster to clear things up and they said it would be better to purchase tix before they go on sale to the public in order to get better seats.

Some answers to your questions:

The advance seats for Melbourne (on sale Weds & Thurs, Sept. 21-22) should be available for purchase online, by phone, and in person at the box office.

My contact at the producer's office agrees with Ticketmaster; you should be able to get better seats via the advance sale on Weds & Thurs, rather than waiting for the preferential seating on when tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (Sept. 23).
