Tim & Graeme at Humph tribute, Kaleidoscope event, and Meet John Howard Davies 09/02/2010 00:00 GMT
Posted by lisa * A February 5, 2010 article from This is Plymouth (http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/features/Live-Apollo/article-1805742-detail /article.html) says that Tim & Graeme will be participating in a tribute to Humphrey Lyttelton at the Hammersmith Apollo on April 25th. While the article erroneously says that will be on the first anniversary of Humph's passing I found at least one additional website confirming the date of the tribute as April 25, 2010.
Tickets are not on sale yet but keep an eye on the Hammersmith Apollo's website: http://venues.meanfiddler.com/apollo/full-listings
Here are the first few paragraphs of the Plymouth article: "PLYMOUTH jazz diva Louise Parker may have sung in some prestigious places in her career to date, but she's never played to quite as many as will be packing out the Hammersmith Apollo on April 25. The legendary 5,000-capacity hall will be hosting an evening to celebrate the life of the late great Humphrey Lyttelton – who died exactly one year ago to the day – with a star-studded bunch of artists. The line-up includes appearances from among others Elkie Brooks, Stacy Kent, Acker Bilk and his band, Kenny Ball and his jazz men, Courtney Pine, Charlie Watts and his big band, Jools Holland, Wally Fawkes, Dave Green, John Pickard, Barry Cryer, Jack Dee, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graham Gardener, Sandy Toksvig, Andy Hamilton… and our very own Louise."
