This Sunday we went into Liverpool and to Chinatown to see the New Year celebrations. There wasn't a huge amount going on one dragon dancing and 3 lions one of which was climing up to grab lucky money being dangled from windows and lots of fire crackers. We watched for an hour but nothing much else was happening I think we got there too early. We will go later next year. Had a KFC then to Albert docks and got a Duck ride!!!. There are bright yellow WW 2 amphibious vehicles which take you round the streets then into the docks themselves and you have a good ride.They make sure you get a bit wet as if the splash into the water dosen't get you the driver with the water pistol does. The 2 men doing the tour were great fun and had everyone laughing. Well worth a go if you get the chance. I have to admit to a little lie when we paid the tickets. I said my eldest was 15 which meant we got a family ticket ( he's 16!!!) Oh dear telling lies in front of the kids. D D
