Just an update, michaeldvd now has a date up again instead of "postponed from sale"
The Goodies-Volume 1 (1970)
Due Out for Sale 1-Sep-2003
I might just wait for the Aus release... better late than never |

I asked the ABC shop if they knew when (if) the DVD would be released in Australia, and the reply was:
"August The Goodies (no title yet) - DVD
I have no further information on this title as yet and the BBC is negotiating some content rights in Australia. Check back with us a bit closer to that time. Please note that release dates may be subject to change."

www.amazon.co.uk has the cheapest price (as they remove VAT). It'll take a week to get to Australia. Why not order a couple? They make great prezzies for your non-internet ready friends,too.

Actually, you might want to check out Blackstar Video (www.blackstar.co.uk). Their total cost (including postage charges) might turn out to be less than Amazon's. Both are good, reliable vendors. |

I think it was set for release on May 5th, but now its just "postponed from sale", no idea why... maybe they couldnt get the remastered version?
So for all I know it may never get released in Australia  might just import it... anyone know of a good place to order online that will ship to Aus? |
