Who do I contact to get a mention in the next Clarrion and Globe?  If we can get a few people interested we can set a date and start organising a venue.  My money's on Redcliffe, just because as SnowmanG said it's a nice location and it's northish of Brisbane, which cuts down my driving time.  There's about 4 motels there, by the look of it.  Once we get numbers, I'll do some ringing around, see what facilities they have and if they'll do a group rate.

I'm in!

Not having to drive home afterwards is a good idea, particularly when some people are going to have to travel.

I have most the episodes on video.

Can we find a cheap motel with a conference room (or a cheap motel nearby to a cheap hall for hire) and make a mini-convention of it?  It'd be a great opportunity for out-of-towners like me who don't generally get a chance to meet other fans, or Brisbane-ites who just fancy a knees-up without having to drive home afterwards.

Just think - we could call it 2001 And A Bit And A Bit More.

I might be able to get us some free publicity for it, too.

Ok we really need to start to get the ball rolling with this for us Brisbane fans.

I suggest somewhere in Redcliffe, easy to get to and is near the ocean.  I'm sure a room for hire could be easlily found somewhere.

All is needed is a TV and chairs!

Brisbane fans should de-lurk now and voice opinions.

Always interested in the idea of organising something in S.E Qld (I'm in Brisbane), but we've never got very far unfortunately.  Still keen...

Anybody in Queensland feel like having a get together/video night type 'do?  I'm based in Bundy, but willing to travel a reasonable sort of distance, ie to Brisbane, so long as it's on a weekend so I don't need time off work.
