I've just read the "Flippin' Eck" post from the guys in the UK who got together for a drink in a pub. We could do that too or instead or as well? My house is in staggering distance from a local hotel |
Thank Goodness someone's still alive... I've been criminally slack in getting anything organised (especially pathetic since it was my bleedin' idea in the first place!) That sounds great. I have most eps up to season 6 on DVDI'm happy to bring down.
When suits everybody else?

Hi all just got onto this site nd am interested in helping out where possible. I have most of the goodies episodes on DVD(converted from Foxtel which means they are mostly unedited) I have access to a data projector and have surround sound etc I live on the northside of Brisbane and am interested in a swat meet etc. Has this meeting of the clan already happened or is it still in the planning stages (just like a queenslander to take 6 months to organise drinks etc.. haha) Contact me via email kipperman@dodo.com.au if anyone has any info or would like to swap (or buy cheaply)episodes

I could organise something fairly cosy underneath my house, (I'm thinking beanbags...) however I'm on the southside of Brisbane. This might make it too far away for northside people? I'm not sure where everybody is. I'm happy to travel to Redcliffe and stop overnight somewhere as well (which would also save me from having to ask hubby to clean up under the house!) |

With Pasty, Liz and two people who've contacted me via email, that makes five interested so far. Any advance on five?
Now we need a venue - any suggestions or should I look into something in Redcliffe as we originally suggested? |

Liz, I might have accidentally deleted your message because I don't think I received it. Sorry! |

I'm still keen
I've sent messages to Brisbane people I've been in contact with in the past, either to their email addresses or as a user message on this site.
Are there any other S.E.Queenslanders who want to put their hands up and make themselves known...? |

Hello all,
Here's an update on the Brisbane get-together situation. At the moment I'm leaning towards a get-together at someone's house (don't know we'll get the numbers to justify renting a venue). I'll supply the DVD player and seasons 1-4 on DVD, and we can do a collection for pizza or nibblies. If anyone from regional Qld is interested in coming, I'll be driving down from Bundy and more than willing to carpool. Anyone on this forum willing to
a) come?
b) host the event? (We'll be good, I promise.)
c) spread the word to others who haven't stopped by the forums lately.

Ta Lisa, will do.
Meanwhile, anyone who's interested in coming, wants to suggest a venue, feel free to drop me a line at:

I wouldn't know Redcliffe from Birmingham, so hopefully we can persude a Bris-local to help with the organising.... |
