Bill Oddie will be taking part in the 2016 Auckland Writers Festival.  Here are details about his three events:

1. On Thursday, May 12th at 12:00pm there will be a Lunch with Bill Oddie at the Sails Restaurant in Westhaven Marina, Auckland.  Here's the event description: "What better way to spend a Thursday than being regaled over lunch with tales of adventure and misadventure by Bill Oddie, former member of the frenetic British comedy trio The Goodies, now a more dignified but still lively presenter of BBC nature programmes. 2. Goodie Bill Oddie, Friday, 13 May 7:00pm at the ASB Theatre.  "In the 1960s, Bill Oddie worked in theatre in London, New York and NZ, along with Tim Brooke Taylor and eventual Pythons Graham Chapman and John Cleese. Throughout the 1970s he was one third of the hugely successful TV show The Goodies, for which he also wrote and sang several Top Ten hits. Since resolving to turn his hobby of bird-watching into a job in the 1980s, he has presented many natural history series for the BBC, including the ground-breaking live broadcasts Springwatch and Autumnwatch. After battling mental illness, he has now re-emerged as a high profile conservationist and activist. 3. Into the Wilds: Bill Oddie.  "Whales, orangutans, elephants and a Pallas' Reed Bunting (that's a bird) have taken Bill Oddie round the world in recent years.
