I caught the screening and had a fantastic time. I was amazed at how great the 2 episodes looked on the big screen, especially Saturday Night Grease's opening parody sequence. I was also struck with the original Goodies title sequence in kitten kong, and how much it had been "paid homage" to by the band Supergrass in their Alright video - the cheeky monkeys! The Q + A session afterwards saw the chaps in fine form, apart from a tastless gag by Mr Oddie about a certain rock star's girlfriend! An excellent afternoon.

Indeed how true those last few lines are!
The thing that stuck me most was just how fast paced the jokes per minute were!

I'd just like to say I went to The Goodies screening at the Prince of Wales cinema and had a great time. I turned up at 12.30 and went looking for the cinema, as I turned the corner and found it I looked around and realised that all three of them were standing there!! I turned into a gibbering idiot. Then I bought my dvd and got it signed by the legends themselves and told them they were better than python.
Bill said to me 'that it wasn't a competition' and I said 'I know but it was just a statement of fact.' My friend went with me and he laughed like a drain at the episodes and said he forgot how good they were. Plus we also got our pictures taken with Jeremy Dyson and Reece Shearsmith of The League Of Gentlemen who were very nice and approachable.
All in all it was a very good day. But one thing I did notice there were fans from all over the world and some were definitely not even born when it was originally on, this is the sort of audience the tv companies want to attract...THE WHOLE FAMILY!! So why it is never repeated is beyond me.
